Terms
These terms govern your use of the Decodability website. Paid documentation engagements are governed by the written agreement made with each client.
Using this website
By using this website, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using the website. You may browse our marketing pages, insights, and independent teardowns for information about our services and approach.
You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, or submit unlawful or misleading material. When contacting us on behalf of a company, you must have authority to share the information you provide.
Our services and engagement process
Decodability helps marketing and e-commerce software companies improve existing documentation through product research, information architecture, rewriting, integration and use-case coverage, search optimization, AI readability, internal linking, and conversion paths.
Our standard 60-day process is Decode, Structure, Rebuild, and Launch & Optimize. We restructure and rebuild the documentation, then launch, monitor keyword performance, search visibility, indexing health, and AI discoverability, maintain the documentation, and make improvements using available data throughout the remaining engagement.
Scope, deliverables, responsibilities, access, approvals, milestones, fees, payment terms, ownership, confidentiality, cancellation, and any support after the engagement are defined in the agreed proposal or service agreement. Timelines depend on the agreed scope and timely client access and feedback. Changes are agreed with the client. Where a written engagement agreement differs from these website terms, that agreement controls the engagement.
No guaranteed search or AI outcomes
We build stronger documentation and discovery foundations; we do not guarantee rankings, indexing dates, traffic, AI citations or recommendations, signups, revenue, or any particular result within 60 days. Outcomes depend on your product, demand, competition, implementation, and external platforms. Examples and illustrations on this website are not promises of client results.
Enquiries and information you share
Submitting the contact form or emailing us does not create a service agreement or reserve an engagement. Work begins under the terms agreed with the client. Please provide accurate information and share only materials you are entitled to disclose. Do not send passwords, sensitive customer records, or payment information through the public form.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle enquiries and website information. The Help Center provides general information about Decodability and does not provide personalized advice or change an engagement's terms.
Free documentation tools
The Docs Discoverability Score analyzes a bounded sample of public documentation and reports rule-based signals. It does not confirm search-engine indexation, identify every issue, or predict rankings, AI citations, traffic, or signups. Scan coverage, page samples, cached evidence, and methodology changes can affect scores. Verify findings against your documentation context before acting.
Submit public documentation URLs you are entitled to share for assessment. Do not submit credentials, private network addresses, sensitive data, or URLs intended to bypass access controls. Requests are rate limited and may be refused or incomplete. Complete assessments appear on the public leaderboard after report unlock. Company names are supplied by submitters and do not establish verified ownership, endorsement, or a commercial relationship.
Intellectual property
Decodability's original website copy, designs, and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may read, link to, and reference public pages with appropriate attribution. Reproducing substantial content, republishing our designs, or using our brand to imply endorsement requires permission, except where permitted by law.
Clients retain their rights in materials they provide. Ownership and permitted use of engagement deliverables are defined in the client agreement. Third-party names, logos, screenshots, and other assets remain the property of their respective owners.
Independent teardowns and third parties
Our teardowns analyze publicly available documentation from an independent editorial perspective. Unless expressly stated, the companies discussed are not clients, partners, or sponsors, and the analysis does not imply their approval. Each teardown includes its own context and disclaimer.
References to Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, AI agents, software integrations, and other platforms describe discovery channels or product context. They do not imply a commercial partnership, certification, or endorsement.
External websites and services operate under their own terms and policies. We do not control their content, availability, algorithms, or changes, and a link does not make us responsible for them.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but information may become outdated and the website may be interrupted or changed. To the extent permitted by law, the website is provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted operation or suitability for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, Decodability is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this informational website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Responsibility for paid services is governed by the applicable client agreement.
Changes and questions
We may update these terms when the website or our services change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Changes to website terms do not automatically amend an existing signed client agreement. If a concern arises, contact us so we can try to resolve it.
